Mooncake is a sweet little black-and-white kitten who loves being around people. She is also the first vegan cat we have come across which was quite a surprise. Mooncake is a rescue cat whose siblings unfortunately did not survive. Having grown up around people rather than other cats, she is quick to become friendly with humans but not as much with other cats. We attempted to teach Mooncake feline social skills by boarding her with a pair of kittens called Babushka & Mini. She learnt a lot by observing them and joining in while they played. She was also friendly towards our resident cat Gaja.
Babushka & Mini went back home a few days before Mooncake which left her without any companions. She would become restless if left alone in a room without any people, so we made sure to spend as much time with her as possible and kept her stimulated with toys. As is the case with kittens, she was curious to explore every nook and cranny and would perch herself atop the highest spots she could reach. Mooncake was a pleasure to be around as she absolutely loved every second of attention that she got.
Subsequent to her first stay, Mooncake has become a regular at Catopia and has made many new friends.
