Tiggy

Nine month old female Indian-Maine Coon mix.

Tigress aka Tiggy (pronounced 'Tigey') is a pretty Indian-Maine Coon mix. Because of her odd genetics, she is quite a unique cat with a physique that resembles an Indian cat. But her bushy tail and soft fur are clearly from a Maine Coon. She was abandoned by a breeder and rescued by an animal communicator who got her adopted with a loving couple.

Tiggy is quite pampered and being from a single-cat household with no siblings, she was also a bit timid initially. It took her a couple of days to open up to us, during which time she would hide in a corner. Once she became friendly with us, we also introduced her to two other kittens who were boarded with us. She was a bit scared and would hiss at them, but slowly she started becoming more comfortable and didn't show any violent tendencies. This was a relief for her parents as they wanted to get another cat to give Tiggy company.
