Kittu is a male Indian cat who is a bit shy about meeting new people. Since he is not comfortable with people other than his human parents, we gave him time alone in a separate room with no other cats, only checking in once every hour to see if he needed anything. He is great at hiding and almost scared us to death when he hid so well that we couldn't find him for about fifteen minutes. Though he was hiding for most of the time during the day, he was not frightened and was active during the night. In a couple of days, he got adjusted to the place and was confident enough to come out from hiding.
